Position Purpose
Ou client are seeking an experienced Enterprise Security Architect to join a high-impact team responsible for ensuring that the company IT services deliver the highest standards of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
This pivotal role works across the cyber division to protect the organisations information assets and systems by embedding security best practices into architectural patterns, guidelines, and project delivery. The Enterprise Security Architect will collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to assess risk, identify threats, and design security controls that enhance the organisations overall cyber resilience.
Key Responsibilities
The Enterprise Security Architect will:
- Contribute expertise across a broad range of technologies to develop and maintain architectural standards, patterns, and guidelines that integrate robust security controls.
- Define and document security requirements by analysing business needs, evaluating technology risks, and researching relevant standards and frameworks.
- Conduct vulnerability analyses, risk assessments, and integration studies to ensure secure system design and delivery.
- Consult with business and technical stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks through the application of:
- Industry best practices and standards;
- security policies and procedures; and
- Security testing and disaster recovery planning.
- Develop and maintain threat models for key information assets and processes, identifying potential threat actors, attack vectors, and appropriate mitigations.
- Liaise with stakeholders to identify risks, analyse data, and prepare management reports on security practices, incidents, and emerging trends.
- Evaluate and assess emerging security technologies to ensure architectural standards and capability roadmaps remain current and effective.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest security practices, frameworks, and standards - including ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and IT risk management.
- Contribute to the education and uplift of cyber security awareness across the organisation, supporting both technical teams and the broader staff and student community.
- Perform other duties as required to support the cyber and architectural strategy.
About You
You are a strategic and technically adept security professional who thrives in complex environments. You combine deep technical understanding with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organisation. You're driven to design secure, scalable architectures that protect information assets while enabling innovation and performance.
- Extensive experience in regulated environments and frameworks such as PCI DSS, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, 31000, or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of ICT risk management, network security, operating systems, application platforms, and cloud environments.
- Proven experience designing and implementing Security Architecture Frameworks that enhance performance, security, and reliability.
- Demonstrated ability to provide authoritative technical and policy advice to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong communication, consultation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels and maintain discretion in complex environments.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to develop innovative solutions to challenging issues.
- A collaborative team player who can also work autonomously, exercising sound judgment and initiative.
