About the Role
As the Business Analyst - AI & Automation, you will play a pivotal role in delivering AI initiatives aligned with a major Digital Master Plan and strategic transformation roadmap. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to identify opportunities, define requirements, and support the delivery of innovative AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead workshops to gather and analyse business and stakeholder requirements for AI initiatives.
- Develop high-quality artefacts including user stories, acceptance criteria, prototypes, and process maps.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for AI and automation tools.
- Collaborate with IT teams to co-design ethical and user-centric AI agents, chatbots, and workflow automation.
- Support project planning, testing, and implementation of AI pilots and proof of concepts.
- Assist with change management and training documentation.
- Participate in Agile delivery activities including sprint planning and UAT.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in AI and automation projects.
- Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, NLP, RPA, chatbots, and ethical AI principles.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
- Proficiency in business process modelling and producing analysis artefacts.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience supporting business cases, testing, and UAT.
Working Arrangements
- Full-time role based in Canberra.
- No security clearance required, but AFP check is mandatory.
- Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents.
