About the Opportunity

We're offering a hands-on Auto Glazing Apprenticeship based at our Artarmon Service Centre. Open to applicants aged 17-45, this program provides the chance to "earn while you learn" while building a stable and rewarding trade career.

This is a 2-3 year apprenticeship where you'll train on the job with experienced technicians, receive support from in-house trainers, and graduate with a nationally recognised Certificate III in Automotive Glazing Technology. No TAFE attendance required - all learning is delivered in the workplace.

What You'll Do

  • Train to become a fully qualified Automotive Technician (Auto Glazier)

  • Work both in the Service Centre (approx. 52%) and on the road (approx. 48%)

  • Assist in:

    • Windscreen repair and replacement

    • Vehicle side and rear window replacement

    • ADAS calibration (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems)

    • Fitting of auto accessories such as wiper blades and filters

  • Learn to use specialised tools and equipment

  • Deliver outstanding customer service as part of a supportive, collaborative team

What We're Looking For

  • A reliable and motivated individual with a positive attitude

  • Someone with mechanical aptitude and hands-on ability

  • Prior labouring or tool-handling experience (highly regarded)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Current driver's licence (P's or higher)

  • Physically capable of performing hands-on, repetitive work

  • Willing to work overtime and rostered Saturdays

Rosters & Hours

  • Work rosters are set monthly by the Service Centre Manager

  • Two roster options:

    • Monday-Friday (alternate Saturdays)

    • Tuesday-Saturday

  • Service Centre operating hours: 7:00am - 5:00pm

  • Flexibility to work overtime and some Saturdays is required

The Qualification

  • Certificate III in Automotive Glazing Technology

  • Duration: approx. 2-3 years, with fast-tracked progression possible based on competency

  • Pay progression based on skills and competency milestones - not just time served
