Having achieved significant growth within their client base, they now have an opportunity for a Technical Services Engineer to join the team dedicated to providing solutions within Federal Defence.

The Role:

Part of the Professional Services team you will provide Technical IT Support across this provider's growing client base. You will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance including desktop software and hardware, and administration support to key accounts.

Key areas of your role will also include:

  • Ensure the delivery of daily support services including desktop and network break/fix, configuring, and installing new PC's, user peripherals, switches, wireless access points, and other IT equipment.
  • Respond to monitoring alerts for devices under Managed Services contracts and SLAs.
  • Server maintenance and administration including checking event logs, backups, virus definitions and administering accounts.
  • Handling, triaging, and troubleshooting faults and service requests, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Managing and monitoring team responses for assigned job queues.

To be successful in this role you will have knowledge or experience in several of the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in desktop and infrastructure support roles especially in operations.
  • Proficiency in desktop support, server support, hardware, network, and software installation and troubleshooting.
  • Solid understanding and ability in the areas of user and Server side computing, MS365 and Azure (Cloud) and Networking and connectivity concepts
  • Experience with virtualization, VMware, and similar technologies.
  • Essential O365 experience due to the nature of the environment.
  • Background in supporting customers over the phone in a large enterprise environment.
  • Strong customer service, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
