We have a truly coveted role offering a seasoned DevOps / Cloud Engineer with Technical Leadership experience the opportunity to lead a 'lean & mean' Cloud team on the verge of exciting growth.

In this role of Technical Lead - Cloud Platforms, you will be the face of Cloud Platform Engineering to the business. As such, this is a role for a truly collaborative leader who values inter/intra team culture as you will also be interfacing with the greater business units and program groups in providing expert technical advice, strategy and technical leadership in the utilisation of the cloud services on offer.

Ideally we will be looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with a Development background who brings experience in leading, developing and supporting applications & projects that underpin a broad range critical business operations.

To be successful you will bring:

  • Significant experience in DevOps, ideally with a background in Development (Python/Go ideally).
  • Cloud experience, specifically in-depth experience with AWS - specifically in deploying onto, and managing workloads in, AWS.
  • A breadth and depth of languages (for scripting and/or programming), such as: Ruby, Python, Java, Groovy, Go, node.js, Unix Shell, PowerShell, etc.
  • Proven experience in various automation methods as well as in working with, and designing & building, CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven experience with infrastructure-as-code and software delivery technologies, such as: AWS CloudFormation, Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Docker, ServerSpec, Rspec, etc.
  • Previous experience in further enhancing & maturing DevOps capabilities & understanding of security practices would be highly regarded.
  • Proven experience in working on cloud environments of technically complex, highly integrated enterprise environments
  • Strong communicator and the ability to consult to the business and provide solution options
  • Able to work and build relationships with across all levels, internally and externally, with ease.
