We are on the lookout for a dynamic System Engineering Leader to join our clients Engineering team.

As a System Engineering Leader, you'll play a pivotal role in steering the direction of key projects, ensuring the highest quality and compliance of our commercial systems solutions. You'll be the glue across mechanical, electronic, and software interfaces, owning the Risk Management Plan, product hazard risk assessment, FMEA, and verification traceability of requirements. Your responsibilities will span customer validation, planning and implementing test plans, relationship management with external partners, and more.

What you will be doing...

  • Determine, implement, and monitor the direction of system engineering in projects.
  • Drive customer validation and engagement within the technical program.
  • Plan and guide the delivery of high-quality, compliant commercial systems solutions.
  • Derive product architecture and system level requirements.
  • Be the cohesive force across mechanical, electronic, and software interfaces.
  • Own the Risk Management Plan, product hazard risk assessment, FMEA, and verification traceability of requirements.
  • Plan and implement test plans for functional test and reliability.
  • Provide relationship management and technical program guidance to external design partners and suppliers.
  • Generate design documents for regulatory submissions.
  • Contribute to development program project schedules and budgets.
  • Ensure engineering standards of quality, cost, safety, timeliness, and performance are observed.
  • Liaise with customers, manufacturing, and other stakeholders to drive customer-centric solutions.
  • Manage configuration management of design outputs and adhere to change management processes.

What you'll need to be successful in this role:

  • Extensive experience in Systems Engineering principles and lifecycle management.
  • Experience developing and executing against Systems Engineering artefacts including Systems Engineering Management Plan and Verification and Validation Plan.
  • Experience in technical problem solving, soliciting, analysing and communicating customer requirements in a cross-disciplinary technical environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with personnel at different levels and from various disciplines.
