We are seeking an experienced EL2 Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade solutions across a complex and high-impact public sector environment. This is a senior-level opportunity for a technical leader to drive digital transformation within a nationally significant program focused on improving services for Australians.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead architecture design and implementation across cloud platforms, integration layers, and analytics solutions.

  • Develop secure, scalable solutions in Azure Cloud, ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture and governance standards.

  • Drive the deployment of Microsoft Fabric and oversee data architecture for enterprise-wide analytics.

  • Design multi-cloud integration solutions between Azure and AWS, ensuring seamless connectivity and robust security.

  • Deliver API-led integration strategies using MuleSoft, and lead CRM integration initiatives with Salesforce.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security, DevOps, data engineers, and enterprise architects.

  • Produce architecture blueprints, technical documentation, and implementation guidelines.

  • Support governance of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and cloud-native DevOps practices.

  • Represent the agency's interests in high-level stakeholder forums and technical discussions.

Required Skills & Experience:


  • Minimum 10 years' experience in solution architecture, with deep expertise in cloud platforms, integration, and enterprise systems.

  • Strong command of Azure services, landing zones, security, and monitoring tools (e.g. Azure AD, Monitor, Sentinel).

  • Proven expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM, and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.

  • Demonstrated experience in Salesforce and/or MuleSoft integration in large, complex environments.

  • Hands-on experience deploying and optimising Microsoft Fabric and Power BI for data modelling and analytics.

  • Strong understanding of Azure-to-AWS integration including secure networking, IAM, and data exchange protocols.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and documentation skills.

Desirable:


  • TOGAF or relevant architecture certification.

  • Experience across health, disability, or insurance sectors.

  • Familiarity with structured and Agile delivery environments.

  • Previous experience as Lead Architect or Enterprise Architect on multi-stream programs.
