Job Title: Infrastructure Project Manager
Estimated start date: 7 November 2024
Location of work: Brisbane/Sydney - hybrid working conditions currently available
Length of contract: 12 Months from start date
Contract extensions: may extend for 2 x 12 months

Security clearance - Applicants must be willing to undergo a Pre employment Screening (PES) and are required to hold and maintain an active Baseline security clearance.
Overview
Client is looking for an experienced project manager to manage IT infrastructure related projects in accordance with organisations project management principles and methodology.
The successful applicant will be expected to project manage a variety of infrastructure projects. This will involve working closely with technical delivery teams, Project Sponsor, Resource Manager and the Project Management Office, as well as relevant business stakeholders. On occasions this may involve working with third parties including solution providers. The ability to cultivate good working relations with a variety of people is a vital component of project success.
Extensive experience as a project manager in the delivery of complex IT projects, effectively demonstrating a solid track record in delivery of singular or multiple projects running simultaneously.
This position will be responsible for the delivery of key strategic priorities such as:
- Notebook SOE migration from Windows 10 to Windows 11
- Intune Auto-deployment
- Replacement of current notebook fleet
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Manage IT projects in accordance with project management principles and methodology.
- Develop and maintain strong and productive relationships with stakeholders internally and externally.
- Ensure that all specific project products and services are delivered to expectations (scope), in a timely manner, within allocated budget, and with all risks managed.
- Build and maintain motivated teams, making sure there is an iterative plan to work towards
- Protect the team and make sure the team collaborates, communicates and focuses on what is most important
- Coach team members and others, facilitate continuous improvement and apply the most appropriate agile and lean tools and techniques for their environment
- Proactively manage dependencies, overcome obstacles and get the best value against constraints
- Prepare reports, briefs and project documentation as required to comply with Project Management framework and reporting requirements.
- Manage risks, budgets and people
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Highly developed and demonstrated Project Management skills and experience (+ 8 years).
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders and manage large scale changes processes.
- Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to plan and coordinate projects, and deliver outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in; and understanding of the government procurement process/requirements, and management of vendors to achieve organisational goals.
- Highly developed oral, written communication and presentation skills.
- Highly developed analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills, including the ability to provide and negotiate options, recommendations and solutions in a timely and constructive manner.
