Location: Sydney

About the Role

We are looking for a Network Engineer to help with network upgrades and improvements. You will work on network solutions, support sales and product teams, and help customers with their networking needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complex upgrades and changes to network equipment without disrupting services

  • Develop and present network modernization solutions

  • Conduct network audits and design architecture plans

  • Create and follow detailed procedures for network projects

  • Lead network testing, analyze results, and troubleshoot issues

  • Support field teams and mentor junior engineers

  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to refine requirements

Skills and Experience

  • Strong experience with IP/MPLS, Carrier Ethernet, routing protocols (BGP, IGP), Segment Routing, and EVPN

  • Hands-on experience working with Ciena platforms and equipments

  • Experience with network design, troubleshooting, and testing

  • Familiarity with UNIX/Linux systems and server administration

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Programming or scripting experience (Python, REST API)
