Overview

Our large Federal Government client are seeking for multiple Enterprise, Business, Program, Platform, and solution Architects on an urgent basis!!

The responsibilities of the Architect include:

  • Understanding business needs of Departments users.
  • Understanding existing systems used within the department.
  • Understanding of how the business needs and the departments existing systems impact on the architecture domain.
  • Develop and keep up to date the Reference Architecture for various domains, covering current, transition state and target architectures, policies, principles, and patterns that in-house and contracted development and operations teams are required to comply with.
  • Providing expert advice to development and operations teams.
  • Working collaboratively with the broader architect community sharing skills and architectures.
  • Presenting in showcases and governance forums

Selection criteria

Essential criteria

1. Extensive experience in one or more of the following architecture domains:

  • Business
  • Data/Information
  • Application
  • Technology
  • Cloud
  • Integration

2. Demonstrated ability to build productive working relationships with all stakeholders, including:

  • engaging business to identify requirements for new and changed business capabilities
  • describing solution options and pros/cons of different approaches
  • helping delivery teams understand the solution architecture and providing guidance on how patterns can be applied.

3. Experience in the development of one or more of the following: strategic roadmaps, value streams, capability maps, standards, policies, principals, guardrails.

4. Demonstrated experience in system analysis and design and preparation of architecture documentation. This includes presenting complex ideas clearly with options and recommendations and the ability to secure approval through the relevant governance forums.

5. Ensure that end-to-end system design meets the relevant functional and non-functional requirements, and is compatible with roadmaps, reference architectures, strategies, policies, standards, patterns, guard rails and practices, including required security practices, policies, and architectures.

Desirable criteria

1. Experience in Microsoft Azure cloud environments, D365 and DevOps.
2. Experience in the full lifecycle development from initial discovery and concept development, requirements, architecture, detailed design, development, testing, deployment, and operations of complex systems involving integration with many other systems.
