.NET DEVELOPER

Location: ACT

Contract: 12 months

Extension: 12 months x 2

Clearance: NV1

Our federal government client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced .NET Developer to join their team.

Duties:

  • Develop and Maintain Applications:

    • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using the .NET framework and .NET Core.
    • Ensure the applications are robust, scalable, and meet the specified requirements.
  • Full-Stack Development:

    • Work on large-scale projects covering UI design, integration, backend services, and database design.
    • Develop user interfaces that are responsive, intuitive, and visually appealing.
  • Back-End Development:

    • Implement and maintain backend services and workflows using MSMQ and C#.
    • Integrate backend services with various databases and external services.
  • Web Services:

    • Develop and integrate REST APIs using C#.
    • Work with WCF and SOAP legacy services to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Security Implementation:

    • Incorporate security best practices into all stages of software development.
    • Implement role-based access control, auditing, and integrate with AD, ADFS, LDAP, and certificate-based authentication systems.
  • DevOps and CI/CD:

    • Utilize Azure DevOps for continuous integration and continuous deployment.
    • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline development processes.
  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, project managers, and technical staff.
    • Lead and participate in project meetings, providing technical insights and updates.

Skill required:

  • More than 5 years of .NET development experience on large-scale full-stack projects, including UI, integration, backend services, and database design.
  • Back-end expertise: .NET framework, .NET Core, MSMQ, and C#, Azure DevOps CI-CD, NServiceBus, SQL Server, and Pipeline.
  • Web service proficiency: C#, REST APIs. o Preferred - WCF and SOAP legacy services integration.
  • Strong background in software development with a focus on security-centered design and knowledge of ISM
  • Extensive experience in implementing role-based access, auditing, and integration with AD, ADFS, LDAP, and Certificate-based authentication.
  • In-depth understanding of scalable web services using IIS, load balancers, and web farms.
  • Strong proficiency in efficient query design.
  • Excellent communication abilities, a proactive attitude, eagerness to learn new skills, and a commitment to promoting good development and engineering practices.
  • Collaborative with stakeholders and technical staff on all project aspects, leading and participating in relevant meetings when required.
  • Ability to contribute to detailed design documentation and create templates for team use.
