One of our large Federal Government client is looking to engage a qualified and experienced Data Engineer to increase the efficiency of the client's tool by replacing the current data storage solution with one that is more appropriate to handle an expected increase in data over time.

The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of data architecture or data engineering; expertise in data modelling; and experience using Microsoft Azure to manage and utilise data for analysis. The Data Engineer will work as part of a team to modify a current working system to improve the database and query performance.

Mandatory Experience/Qualifications:

• - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, data engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• - Proven experience as a Data Modeler/Data Engineer, with a track record of successful data modelling and implementation projects.
• - Proficiency in Microsoft Azure for managing data and ETL.
• - In-depth knowledge of a wide range of databases. Experience with GIS or managing geospatial data will be highly regarded.
• - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• - Familiarity with data governance principles and data quality best practices.
• - Relevant certifications in data modelling or related fields are a plus.
