🧭 Working Arrangement: Hybrid (minimum 3 days in-office, flexible for remaining 2 days)


About the Role

As an EL1 Cyber Security Engineer, you will lead the development and enhancement of core and emerging cyber security technologies including SIEM, SOAR, Vulnerability Management, and Threat Intelligence. You'll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and the Cyber Security Operations Centre (SOC) to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with strategic objectives.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a cloud-first environment and has hands-on experience with Azure, M365, and AWS technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine cyber security technologies aligned with strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to deliver key cyber initiatives.
  • Introduce and enhance orchestration and automation technologies.
  • Mentor junior staff and simplify complex technologies into actionable processes.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation including architectural designs and SOPs.
  • Participate in procurement activities and provide expert advice.

Essential Criteria

Candidates must address the following in a one-page pitch (max 5000 characters):

  1. SIEM engineering experience, including use case development and custom query writing in platforms such as Splunk ES, Microsoft Sentinel, AWS Security Hub, QRadar, Exabeam, or similar.
  2. Experience in Vulnerability Management using platforms like Microsoft Defender, Rapid7, Tenable, Dynatrace, or similar.
  3. Threat Intelligence platform management experience with tools such as Microsoft, Threatstream, ThreatIQ, or comparable.

Desirable Criteria

  • Automation experience in Cyber Security platforms.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps monitoring.
  • Experience with Threat Modelling tools and processes.
  • Prompt Engineering capabilities.
