We are seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to lead the deployment, operations, and sustainment of a large-scale cloud environment. In this technical leadership role, you will collaborate with Architecture Teams and Business Units to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures, while ensuring compliance with relevant security and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the technical lead for cloud architecture, deployment, and operations.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining secure and cost-effective Azure cloud environments.
  • Troubleshooting and providing advanced technical support for cloud operational incidents.
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including security, network, and application support, to ensure seamless integration and support of cloud services.
  • Implementing cloud innovations and emerging technologies, while ensuring compliance with regulated environments.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for the cloud environment, including architectural designs and operational procedures.
  • Managing cost control and optimisation for the cloud environment to meet service levels and budget requirements.

Skills & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Azure cloud engineering.
  • Professional certification in Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Strong technical understanding of Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Entra, M365, Microsoft Well-Architected Framework, and Azure Landing Zones.
  • Expertise in developing and deploying infrastructure and applications as code.
  • Experience with cloud migration and developing cloud-native application architectures.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud security concepts, including posture management and security baselines for regulated environments.
  • Proficiency in writing PowerShell scripts for automation and management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
