OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Functional Business Analyst with integration and data experience.

The Functional Business Analyst with strong background in MS Dynamics CRM will be responsible for evaluating and capturing requirements around how the solution should work based on role-based access, and application security leveraging Dynamics CRM within the Refresh and Resilience solution. The position works with both internal and external vendors, the architecture and IPOS teams.

Key Accountabilities

  • Correlate technical and functional understandings of MS Dynamics CRM. Utilising the scope of work that the BA team would provide.
  • Participate in stakeholder workshops and provide relevant outcomes, future deliverables.
  • Coordinate with business and technical stakeholders / SMEs to capture information required for the creation of complex data models and map information flows.
  • Document data requirements for both internal NSWPF and external agencies interfaces including interim and target state architecture.
  • Work with business stakeholders to identify requirements to support current and target state business processes.
  • Ability to dissect information based on classification levels with an understanding up to "Protected"
  • Drive the design, documentation and development of technical requirements and functional specifications using context diagram and process models.
  • Elicit and document user requirements using various techniques which include but not limited to interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
  • Evaluate proposed system solutions in close liaison with system developers to ensure delivery of solutions that are consistent with NSWPF expectations.
  • Conducting workshops with business and technical SMEs, eliciting technical requirements supporting business, data and integration needs.
  • Prepare technical requirements for system test plans relating to data and integration scenarios and work with the Test Manager to ensure delivery of quality systems.
  • Manage and develop relationships with project team members and stakeholders in order to ensure successful projects outcomes and to maintain client satisfaction.
  • Work as an effective team member in investigating and developing options and solutions while championing business needs

Selection Criteria

  • Experience working with an MS Dynamics CRM, on-premise solution. Project is not implementing a cloud solution.
  • Extensive experience in a Functional Business Analyst capacity within a Government department or private sector.
  • Experience in working within an agile team focusing on capturing and documenting data and interface requirements for development
  • Ability to document User stories and requirements in a specification that Integration developers can develop against.
  • Ability to dissect Business processes or user stories to identify data types, classifications and integrations required to support the processes
  • Experience of mapping / building integrations between a COTS based package to Inhouse built systems
  • Work with technical teams to design, document and test system integrations.
  • Coordinate the development of technical specifications in collaboration with relevant teams to ensure specific user requirements are clearly communicated in technical terms for submission to systems development.
  • Experience with industry integration platforms and concepts, i.e. REST, JSON, XML, MuleSoft, IBM IIB;
  • Ability to write Integration specifications
  • Drive the design, documentation and development of technical requirements and functional specifications using context diagram and process models;
  • Evaluate proposed system solutions in close liaison with system developers to ensure delivery of solutions that are consistent with NSWPF expectations;
  • Prepare technical requirements for system test plans relating to data and integration scenarios and work with the Test Manager to ensure delivery of quality systems.
  • Proven experience conducting workshops with business and technical SMEs, eliciting technical requirements supporting business, data and integration needs;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Exceptional Stakeholder management experience.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Tertiary level qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent industry experience
