Salesforce Operations Engineers (x4) - Federal Government Contract
Location: ACT, NSW, QLD, WA, TAS, NT)
Work Type: Contract - 12 months + 12-month extension option
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days flexible)
Security Clearance: Baseline
Citizenship: Australian Citizens only
About the Role
We are seeking four experienced Salesforce Operations Engineers to support a major Federal Government agency in managing and maintaining its Salesforce environment. These roles sit within the Environment Operations team and are critical to ensuring the health, stability, and availability of Salesforce environments across multiple initiatives.
You'll be responsible for executing standardized procedures, monitoring environmental health, managing deployments, and supporting development teams across the platform. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a high-impact, collaborative environment with a strong focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Environment Management
- Execute scheduled and ad-hoc sandbox refreshes
- Perform pre/post-refresh validation and configuration checks
- Coordinate environment synchronization and maintain refresh calendars
Health Monitoring & Integration
- Conduct daily health checks and monitor integration endpoints
- Triage and escalate environment issues
- Maintain dashboards and alerts for integration health
Deployment Support
- Execute deployments using CI/CD pipelines
- Perform validation, smoke testing, and rollback procedures
- Maintain deployment logs and assist with scheduling
Test Data & User Management
- Provision test users and manage permissions
- Load and anonymize test data
- Maintain documentation and access matrices
Operational Support
- Respond to environment support requests
- Liaise with Salesforce support
- Maintain runbooks and SOPs
- Support audits and compliance checks
Issue Management & Continuous Improvement
- Triage and resolve environment-related issues
- Identify automation opportunities and contribute to process improvements
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Salesforce Administrator and Omnistudio Consultant certifications
- Experience with deployment tools (Copado, Gearset, AutoRABIT)
- Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Splunk, New Relic, Datadog)
- Strong issue management and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in government or large enterprise environments
Desirable:
- Understanding of data privacy and compliance requirements
