Join a major national program of work that's reshaping digital services.
We're seeking a highly experienced Cyber Security Architect (EL2 equivalent) to lead security architecture design across a portfolio of critical digital capabilities. You'll join a major federal initiative focused on uplift across identity and access, data analytics, fraud and case management, public-facing systems, and more.
You'll work in a collaborative, agile environment, advising on cyber strategy and embedding robust, scalable security architecture for both existing and greenfield systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver cyber security architecture across a complex digital transformation program
- Provide expert guidance across identity, analytics, payment systems, APIs, fraud, and mobile
- Resolve complex IT risks and issues in a cross-functional environment
- Develop and implement ICT security standards, policies, procedures, and controls
- Align compliance with government frameworks (e.g. PSPF, ISM, agency-specific risk frameworks)
- Prepare and present technical documentation for both technical and executive stakeholders
- Lead security governance and risk discussions across stakeholder groups
- Support transformation aligned with best-practice architecture domains (TOGAF, SABSA, etc.)
About You
- Minimum 5 years' experience in cyber security architecture, governance, risk and compliance
- Strong understanding of Australian Government security frameworks
- Experience designing secure greenfield environments
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across all levels
- Confident working in agile and dynamic project teams
- High-level communication and documentation skills
- Tertiary qualification in ICT or relevant industry certifications
Desirable Qualifications
- CISSP or equivalent security certification
- Broad architecture experience across business, information, data, application, and infrastructure domains
