Technical Software Engineer
Location: ACT
Contract: 12 months + 12 months/Perm option available
Our client is looking for multiple Software Engineers to join their expanded team.
Duties:
Information Assessment:
- Review and analyse information provided by software vendors or developers.
- Identify and document gaps, issues, and areas of risk in the provided information.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
Research and Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive research on software products to gather necessary information for technical assessments.
- Analyse industry trends, standards, and best practices to inform assessments.
- Develop and maintain a knowledge base of current and emerging software products and technologies.
Technical Artefact Evaluation:
- Assess technical artefacts (e.g., design documents, codebases, architecture diagrams) to determine their fitness for purpose.
- Ensure technical artefacts are complete, accurate, and technically sound.
- Provide detailed feedback and recommendations for improvement.
Expertise Contribution:
- Provide technical input and insights during the preparation of audit reports, technical documentation, and policy implementation.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance the quality and accuracy of deliverables.
- Participate in meetings and discussions to provide expert advice on technical matters.
Auditing and Reviewing:
- Conduct thorough audits and reviews of IT systems and software products to ensure compliance with internal standards, external regulations, and industry best practices.
- Document audit findings, including identified issues, risks, and recommendations for remediation.
- Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely and effective resolution.
