An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Technical Program Manager at the Executive Level 1 level to lead the modernisation of national conformance services that enable safe, secure and interoperable digital health systems. This role is suited to a senior professional with extensive experience delivering complex technical programs and leading multidisciplinary teams within a highly regulated environment.
About the Role
The Technical Program Manager Conformance Modernisation will lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the national Conformance Framework. You will oversee the development of conformance specifications, guide adoption of interoperability standards such as HL7 FHIR and ensure conformance requirements are embedded across testing and assurance processes. The position requires strategic planning, operational oversight and the ability to deliver risk based and modern conformance services that align with program objectives and business as usual activities.
This is a leadership role that involves working across multiple internal and external stakeholders while representing the organisation in key forums. You will apply sound judgement, strong communication skills and deep technical understanding to manage sensitive issues, drive change and support strategic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver modern conformance services aligned with national digital health objectives
- Develop, maintain and implement the national Conformance Framework
- Drive adoption of interoperability standards including HL7 FHIR
- Integrate conformance requirements into testing and assurance activities
- Provide expert strategic advice to senior leadership on conformance operations and improvements
- Manage complex and sensitive technical projects within established government policy frameworks
- Develop strategic work plans, manage resources and oversee financial considerations
- Build organisational capability and promote continuous improvement
- Lead stakeholder engagement across the sector and represent the organisation in cross agency forums
- Build strong networks and manage sensitivities, change and competing priorities
- Exercise autonomy and independent decision making with significant impact on program outcomes
