A Large Government Department is looking for an experience Technical Analyst to join their team in their Melbourne offices. Technical expertise in MS SQL and SQL Integration is a must.

The purpose of this role is the end-to-end technical management of a specific suite of IT software applications and services known as Enterprise Platform environments. These environments include MS SQL Integration, Identity Management and Provisioning and a suite of database warehouses which mirror production systems.

The role will include liaison with Project and other operational support staff regarding changes, enhancements, problem diagnosis and day to day support including:

• Investigates operational system problems, provides management/business advice, and identifies and implements appropriate solutions as required
• Works closely with customers to ensure problems are resolved, and develops customer relationships through effective communication and consultation
• Ensures that systems developed meet the Information Technology Division's quality standards and technical requirement
• Develop and ensure business SLAs are achieved
• Develop and maintain customer relationships with wider DEECD business stakeholders
• Develop and maintain manuals and user guides
• Provide advice on IT policies and procedures
• Provide expert advice and support to users of organisational IT systems
• Develop and implement disaster recovery/business continuity plans
• Identify and implement solutions to user issues
