Our client is seeking a Network Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This position demands a hands-on individual who can immerse themselves in the project and effectively handle diverse challenges across various ongoing projects.

This will be an initial day rate contract for 12 months with the opportunity to extend, based in the Southeast of the CBD, where you will be required to work on a hybrid model, 3 days onsite.

You will be responsible to help oversee the deployment of network security infrastructure, controls, and tools in alignment with key organizational strategies. Help manage administration tasks for firewalls, VPNs, Web Application Firewalls, and network security technologies.

About You:

• Extensive experience with TCP/IP and networking equipment, including switches, routers (Cisco), firewalls (Palo Alto Networks), and cloud security tools like Palo Alto Networks Prisma Cloud is highly desirable.
• Proven experience managing Windows and Linux environments.
• Ability to identity and respond to IT security incidents.
• Capability to work independently with minimal oversight.
