About the role

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to shape secure, scalable and well‑architected technology foundations across a large, complex enterprise environment. In this role, you will play a critical part in strengthening digital resilience and enabling modern engineering practices. You'll provide expert architectural direction, reduce technology risk, and guide teams toward consistent, high‑quality outcomes that support strategic priorities.

This position is ideal for an architect who brings strong cloud platform expertise, enjoys solving complex design challenges, and can influence technical direction across multiple domains.

Key Accountabilities

  • Establish and govern cloud foundational architectures - particularly in GCP - including network foundations, controlled ingress/egress, hybrid DNS, tenancy models and guardrails.
  • Develop and socialise reference architectures to ensure broad adoption and long‑term consistency across engineering teams.
  • Provide architectural leadership that supports technology strategy, innovation, and managed risk.
  • Deliver high‑quality architecture outputs within agreed timeframes and budgets.
  • Advise on secure, scalable design practices and ensure alignment with enterprise governance models.

Expected Outcomes

  • Delivery of a baseline set of cloud foundation reference architectures - including network, ingress/egress, DNS, tenancy and guardrail designs - within the first 8-12 weeks.
  • Creation of repeatable, IaC‑driven patterns that enable consistent consumption of cloud foundations by engineering teams.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience designing cloud landing zones and foundational architecture, with strong proficiency in GCP (preferred) and working knowledge of AWS.
  • 3+ years' experience designing target‑state solution architectures aligned to enterprise or industry best practices.
  • Proven experience delivering solution architecture and key design decisions in large, complex enterprises - preferably within regulated industries.
  • Deep hands‑on architectural expertise across networking, hybrid connectivity, DNS, secure ingress/egress, tenancy design and guardrail development.
  • Strong understanding of IaC‑driven operating models, pipelines, templates and golden‑path engineering approaches.
