Solution Architect (Data/Mining Experience)

Location: Perth (Onsite) - (3 days at client office / 2 days WFH)

Duration: 6 months (possible extensions)

Contract Start date: Immediate

Rate: 950-1100/day inc super

Mining Domain Expertise:

• Utilise extensive mining domain experience to understand and address the unique challenges and requirements of mining operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that optimize mining processes, improve efficiency, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide subject matter expertise on mining applications such as AMPLA, PI Historian, ESRI Spatial Data, and Snowflake to support project requirements and initiatives.

Data and Analytics Leadership:

• Lead the design and implementation of data and analytics solutions tailored to the needs of mining operations.
• Drive the adoption of advanced analytics techniques, including AI/ML algorithms, to derive actionable insights and drive business value.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing guidance on data strategy, architecture, and technology investments.

Solution Architecture:

• Architect end-to-end solutions that leverage mining applications and data analytics platforms to address complex business challenges.
• Design scalable, resilient, and secure data architectures that integrate disparate data sources and enable advanced analytics capabilities.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure alignment with architectural best practices, standards, and guidelines.

Technical Leadership:

• Mentor and coach junior team members on mining domain knowledge, data analytics concepts, and solution architecture principles.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the mining industry, data analytics, and AI/ML domains.
• Provide thought leadership and contribute to the development of organizational strategies, roadmaps, and initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience as a developer with a transition to a solution architect role.
• Extensive experience in the mining industry with a strong understanding of mining operations and applications.
• Proficiency in mining applications such as AMPLA, PI Historian, ESRI Spatial Data, and Snowflake.
• Deep expertise in data analytics, including AI/ML techniques and tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to architect complex solutions and drive successful project outcomes.
