We are looking for a highly skilled Senior UNIX/Linux Infrastructure Expert to join our team and manage our Midrange Unix Infrastructure. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and play a key part in troubleshooting and support across our Midrange environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 2/Level 3 support for Midrange environments, advancing troubleshooting capabilities.
• Collaborate with project and application teams to understand business needs and translate them into secure, efficient, and automated technical solutions.
• Lead initiatives to improve resiliency and reduce technical debt by undertaking infrastructure upgrades, patching, and migrations to new platforms.
• Work with teams across the Infrastructure Division and external vendors to plan and implement improvements, upgrades, and patching.
• Support and enhance security monitoring and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Mentor and coach junior infrastructure engineers, contributing to their technical growth and development.
• Support business continuity planning and solutions development.
• Participate in incident response, problem management, and change management activities.
• Occasional after-hours support may be required as part of the Unix Operations team on-call roster.

Candidate Criteria:

Mandatory:

• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and IBM AIX Operating Systems.
• Proven experience in creating detailed technical documentation (as-built documents, operational handovers, support guides).
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with networking, compute, storage, and security engineers, as well as architects.
• Experience in coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure solution delivery.

Desirable:

• Experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation, Red Hat Pacemaker, Red Hat Satellite, and Identity Manager.
• Expertise in Virtualization on IBM Power, VMware, OpenStack, and Oracle SPARC platforms.
• Red Hat Certified Administrator (RHCA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or Oracle Solaris Administration Certification is highly regarded.
