Accompanying this will be a new portal, currently finalising design and into the early build phase. The organisation is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced UI / UX Designer to support the program.
The position performs a critical role in improving the experience for users of the CMS Program platform being built and supported. You'll join a multidisciplinary team working with agile methodologies to deliver user centred designs to improve the usability and accessibility of the CMS and portal.
The UI / UX Designer will support the Change and Adoption Lead, in delivering the outcomes for the Agile delivery teams delivering and supporting the CMS Program.

- Extract, analyse and interpret user data and insights to inform designs and provide clear, evidence-based advice to product and delivery teams.
- Communicate findings and translate user insights into practical recommendations that improve user experience and program outcomes.
- Lead the establishment and promotion of design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
- Lead and contribute to the preparation and planning of user research, testing and / or discovery work activities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with business users, Product Owners, subject matter experts (SMEs) and technical teams to create and enhance user centred outcomes.
- Influence and support the service and product delivery design process by creating UX related artefacts such as user journeys, process maps, wireframes, and prototypes as required.
- Designing for multiple devices and screen sizes, ensuring responsive, accessible and intuitive user interfaces.
- Ensuring designs meet accessibility requirements, including WCAG compliance, and support inclusive service delivery.
- Coach and mentor junior UI / UX APS resource(s) to uplift capability and strengthen design maturity across the program.
Essential criteria
- Proven experience in leading UI / UX design activities or teams, ideally within complex digital, enterprise or government environments.
- Minimum 3 years of commercial experience as a UX Designer with demonstrated capability across research, interaction design and interface design.
- Ability to coach and mentor junior UI / UX Designers in using robust design processes and principles.
