About the Role

Experis Australia are seeking a Senior SAP FI Functional Systems Analyst for a long term contract opportunity for our client in Fed Gov.

We are looking for experience in design, configure and support end‑to‑end finance processes across a mixed SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC landscape within a Federal Government context. You'll work closely with functional leads, business stakeholders, architects and technical teams to deliver standard solutions using SAP Activate, leverage SAP Fiori, and enable data‑driven operations with embedded analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement end‑to‑end process and solution configuration across SAP S/4 and SAP ECC.
  • Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements and designs.
  • Design SAP solutions aligned to departmental requirements across Finance, Sales, Procurement and/or banking activities, including border and revenue receipting processes.
  • Analyse and develop solutions (design and config) within SAP FI, CO, MM, PUR, SD, Pricing, PS, PSCD, Travel and Time Management (CATS), RCTI.
  • Develop functional specs and solutions for SAP ECC, S/4HANA, SAP Portal, SAP Launchpad and Fiori.
  • Prepare and execute unit and integration testing; develop Unit Test Cases.
  • Utilise ChaRM in SAP Solution Manager for managing change requests.
  • Maintain and support the SAP system; troubleshoot and provide end‑user support.
  • Report status to the Delivery Manager and Team Lead.
  • Prepare BAU and project documentation in support of solution designs; develop/maintain system design documentation.
  • Provide operational procedures, business support documentation and standard solution documentation for SAP FI modules.
  • Deliver complex tasks with limited direction and tight deadlines; present and articulate SAP IT trends to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

  1. 5+ years' experience with deep understanding of SAP ECC, Portal and Fiori technologies.
  2. Extensive cross‑functional knowledge and hands‑on experience across FI, PS, CO, SD, PSCD, GRC, Solution Manager.
  3. Proven experience across financial solutions (receipting, banking, refunds, reconciliation, payments, credit cards), OpenText VIM, diagnosing system issues; testing functionality, performance and security; releases, support packs and upgrades.
  4. Ability to implement end‑to‑end ERP cycles.
  5. SAP implementation experience in large, complex organisations (Federal or similar).
  6. Advanced S/4HANA functional experience.
  7. Strong technical awareness and ability to work with architects/developers.
  8. Knowledge of Change & Transition support in enterprise environments.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Federal Government programs and compliance.
  • Exposure to ECC6 to S/4HANA uplift/migration programs.
  • Familiarity with embedded analytics and data‑driven operations.
  • Certification(s) in SAP FI/CO, S/4HANA, or SAP Activate.

Security & Eligibility

  • Baseline security clearance is mandatory (active at time of application).
  • Australian citizenship required
