We're supporting a major higher‑education institution undergoing a significant digital uplift across its student services and enterprise platforms. This is a great opportunity for a Salesforce Developer who enjoys working on complex, enterprise-scale systems and wants to be part of a long‑term transformation program.

About the Role

As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you'll join an established refactoring and integration team working on critical enhancements across Service Cloud and core Salesforce applications. You will be responsible for modernising legacy components, uplifting code quality, and delivering scalable, secure, best‑practice Salesforce solutions.

You'll work closely with architects, business analysts, and cross‑functional engineering teams to design, develop, and optimise Salesforce capability used across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑quality Apex classes, triggers, batch jobs and asynchronous processing.
  • Modernise and refactor legacy Salesforce codebases to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Build and maintain Visualforce pages, Lightning components, and UI enhancements.
  • Develop and manage Salesforce integrations (REST, SOAP, middleware) to support data flow across enterprise systems.
  • Enhance and support Service Cloud including case management, routing, workflows, automation and configuration.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and sprint planning within an Agile delivery environment.
  • Support system stability, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong commercial experience with Apex, Visualforce, LWC/Aura, and Salesforce platform development.
  • Hands-on experience in Service Cloud implementations and enterprise workflows.
  • Solid background in integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, middleware).
  • Experience refactoring legacy Salesforce apps or uplifting older codebases.
  • Good understanding of Salesforce security, object model, automation tools, and deployment strategies.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders in a large, complex environment.

Why This Project Is Exciting

  • Work within a large digital transformation program across the higher‑education sector.
  • Join a collaborative refactoring team improving major enterprise applications.
  • Opportunity to modernise legacy Salesforce components into a clean, scalable architecture.
  • Exposure to Service Cloud enhancements, deep integrations, and enterprise engineering standards.
  • Long‑term roadmap and extension opportunities beyond the initial 12‑month term.
