Unique opportunity for a Sydney Based, PHP Software Developer / Engineer to join Australia's #1 B2B platform.

The company was launched 6+ years ago and has gone from strength to strength, they are an industry disrupter widely talked about in the media and backed by big bank investors and are already valued at over $40 million.

You will be working alongside Engineers who have come from leading start-up's and companies like Atlassian to create this established & highly talented dev team. (12 Engineers, 50+ staff across AU)

The team have a wealth of experience building large scale, complex software systems and the product is already Australia's #1 online platform as a B2B marketplace.

You will be joining an experienced team including the Head of Engineering who is a master in their field, and has previously built iconic, multi-million-dollar platforms from scratch. They use an agile methodology for their development process, where they constantly launch and learn.

There's a wide range of features to work on, such as ordering, search, marketing, administration, logistics, payment, etc. The major focus is now on building a very modern "version 2" of the platform, bringing it into 2022 by using the latest technologies that are available to scale.

Main Skills:

This would suit someone who has extensive experience working either as a Full stack or backend developer for either a start-up or a product-based company where the backend was written in PHP Laravel.

Ideally you will have worked with the below tech, or comparable technologies and have a willingness and aptitude to learn.

Core backend tech / tools:

• PHP, Laravel 8
• MySQL, linux
• Redis
• Docker, Git, Jira / Confluence

Nice to have:

• Elastic search experience (or similar)
• Amazon Textract or other OCR technologies
• AI and Machine Learning is a plus (TensorFlow)
• Any front end like Vue.js, TypeScript or Tailwind CSS is a bonus.
