A Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Technical Specialist to provide expert technical leadership across systems, infrastructure, identity, and software deployment services. This role is central to delivering a secure, stable, and future‑focused ICT environment, supporting innovation while ensuring high‑quality service delivery across the organisation.
You will provide authoritative advice to senior leaders, guide strategic decision‑making, and support improvements that enhance operational performance and technology maturity.
Key Skills
- Experience investigating and adopting new tools, techniques, and automation for managing ICT systems.
- Proven capability in planning, installing, maintaining, and accepting infrastructure components and services.
- Experience managing and supporting systems and software life cycle environments.
- Strong knowledge of software configuration planning, execution, and tooling.
- Experience managing specialist vendor advice and aligning recommendations for executives.
- Expertise in Microsoft Dynamics, Azure, Entra ID, security controls & compliance, and networking.
- Proven experience leading software release planning, stakeholder engagement, and progress communication.
- Strong understanding of release processes, roll‑back strategies, and automation tools.
- Expert knowledge in identity and access management (IDAM).
- Experience delivering large‑scale IDAM initiatives and integrating services with new technologies.
- Proven ability to ensure compliance, implement monitoring, and plan for scalable future growth.
Desirable qualifications
- Degree or postgraduate qualifications in technology or related fields (e.g., CIAM, CIMP).
- Certifications in cloud, software, or platform technologies.
- Certifications in development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, XP, SAFe).
- Certifications in IT governance or service frameworks (ITIL, COBIT).
