This is a newly created Senior Front end developer position to join one of Australia's leading retailers who are a nationally recognised brand.

This position would suit a senior front-end developer who is highly skilled in JavaScript and does not necessarily have to rely on frameworks. The position offers a unique opportunity for someone wanting to take their career to the next level and step up from a senior developer into more of a lead role in the near future.

You will work alongside a very supportive head of digital who is invested in your career development. There is a small internal team of 3 developers and a larger overseas team to outsource any extra work to where needed.

You will be learning by the business on best practices across 2022 Digital transformation and core redevelopment from an IT end.

You will have the chance to work on a diverse range of projects including scaling up of web services around large promotions. This would also suit someone who is keen to be involved in stakeholder management across some areas within the business, and is excited to put forward ideas, and help validate key technical decisions.

The main focus of this role is front end development with JavaScript and the ability to know / advise around the best suited frameworks where needed.

Ideal skills and experience:

• HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• eCommerce / retail platforms
• Agile/Sprint workplace
• Git commands
• SQL

Nice to haves:

• NodeJS
• Exposure to salesforce
• Azure DevOps

Some previous experience in transformation is advantageous, but not mandatory.
