This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex technical challenges, enabling development teams, and building modern, scalable delivery pipelines.

About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you'll work within a dedicated team responsible for building and maintaining cloud‑based platforms that support the full application lifecycle. You'll collaborate closely with software development teams to onboard new projects, implement CI/CD pipelines, embed observability tooling, and champion DevOps culture across the organisation.

Your work will directly contribute to the design, development, and delivery of key technical solutions within a major transformation program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines
  • Support Azure DevOps pipeline development and cloud migration activities
  • Configure and manage Windows application servers and IIS web applications
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration
  • Plan, automate, test, and deploy databases using pipelines
  • Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures
  • Identify and implement improvements to DevOps workflows
  • Mentor and support internal teams, fostering strong working relationships
  • Manage workload effectively to meet project deadlines

Skills & Experience

  • Strong IT infrastructure background with deep knowledge of DevOps methodologies
  • Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and modern DevOps toolsets
  • Experience with static code analysis and quality tools (e.g., SonarQube)
  • Strong understanding of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and artifact repositories (e.g., JFrog Artifactory)
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong project management capability with a track record of delivering on time and within budget

What You Bring

  • Experience designing and implementing complex build and release pipelines
  • Ability to integrate DevOps platforms securely with third‑party and custom tools
  • Experience designing secure, resilient Azure, multi‑cloud, or hybrid architectures
  • Understanding of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and cloud security controls
  • Ability to produce scalable, reusable DevOps architectural patterns
  • Proven capability to guide teams and support operational DevOps environments
