A Federal Government Agency is looking for a Cloud Engineer to design, build and support cloud-based integration capabilities that connect its core enterprise systems. You'll play a key role in a major ERP integration program-enabling secure, reliable data flow between our grants management, facilities asset management, human resources, property, and financial management systems.
This role suits someone who enjoys working across architecture, engineering and operations-owning platform setup, contributing to solution design, and ensuring cloud infrastructure is delivered to high security and operational standards. You'll also help keep cloud environments running smoothly as part of business-as-usual (BAU) support.
What you'll do
- Lead the enterprise integration platform setup connecting HR, grants, asset/property management and ERP platforms.
- Collaborate with architects, developers and engineers to design end‑to‑end messaging and API integration solutions.
- Deploy and support cloud infrastructure underpinning the ERP integration program.
- Produce high‑quality technical documentation, including detailed designs, as‑built diagrams and SOPs.
- Support BAU operations across cloud environments as required.
What you'll bring
- Hands-on experience with Azure Service Bus, API Management (APIM), Azure networking, and containerisation (Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, Azure Container Services).
- Strong API and systems integration skills, with the ability to produce clear architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
- Experience across hybrid environments (cloud + on‑prem), automation, cost optimisation, and familiarity with government cyber security frameworks.
- Nice to have: CI/CD, broader networking and security, databases, on‑prem technologies, monitoring and logging.
- Exposure to one or more major clouds (Azure/AWS/GCP).
What's in for you
- Be part of a high‑impact ERP program modernising core enterprise platforms.
- Work with modern cloud-native tools and patterns in a collaborative engineering environment.
- Hybrid work with supportive leadership and the opportunity to shape integration standards and patterns.
