We're looking for a Salesforce Technical Design Lead to play a key role in a large‑scale Salesforce transformation program. This is a high‑impact contract where you'll guide technical design, shape platform strategy, and lead the delivery of complex Salesforce solutions across a modern digital ecosystem.
About the role
You'll work closely with product owners, solution architects and engineering squads to translate business requirements into scalable, future‑proof Salesforce solutions. This position requires deep Salesforce engineering capability combined with strong architectural thinking and technical leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design of Salesforce solutions across a multi‑cloud environment
- Translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications
- Provide hands‑on leadership across configuration, customisation, integration and governance
- Drive platform best practice, minimise technical debt, and champion configuration over code
- Lead and mentor developers, provide code review oversight and ensure engineering quality
- Define integration patterns, data flows and platform design decisions
- Collaborate across multiple agile squads in a fast‑paced environment
- Ensure alignment to enterprise architecture and strategic program direction
- Manage and communicate technical design documentation to stakeholders
- Support incident resolution and provide platform SME input where required
What you'll bring
- 5+ years' experience as a Salesforce Technical Lead / Senior Developer in enterprise environments
- Strong hands‑on experience with Salesforce Industries Cloud (Vlocity), Omnistudio, Omniscripts, FlexCards, Integration Procedures, LWCs, Apex & APIs
- Experience across Sales, Service, Experience/Community Cloud, and exposure to Marketing Cloud
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data models including EDA or Industries/Education models
- Proven delivery experience across complex multi‑cloud Salesforce programs
- Ability to guide developers and own solution design decisions end‑to‑end
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working across Agile/Scrum teams
- Ability to operate with autonomy in a large‑scale transformation environment
Nice to have
- Salesforce Education Cloud Consultant certification
- Experience working in large, complex organisations
