Project Manager

Security Clearance: NV1 (mandatory)

We are seeking a highly capable Project Manager with current NV1 clearance to contribute to a major Defence capability programme. This role is suited to someone who enjoys working in a structured, complex and fast paced environment and who brings strong project management discipline, analytical capability and stakeholder engagement skills.
You will work closely with the Integrated Product Manager and Deputy Integrated Product Manager, providing high level project, financial and stakeholder management across the sustainment function and assisting with acquisition phase activities.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Support the Integrated Product Manager and Deputy Integrated Product Manager in managing the sustainment budget and finances.
- Analyse, develop and implement product management options that optimise the use of Defence assets while balancing cost, opportunities and risk.
- Oversee ad hoc and recurring sustainment services to ensure delivery and performance outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors to support communication on requirements, schedules, risks, costs and changes.
- Assist with acquisition programme activities, including participating in PM working groups with the Prime Contractor.
- Review and provide feedback on deliverables to ensure capability is maintained to required standards.
- Support the transition of the project from acquisition into sustainment.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Current NV1 Security Clearance.
- Experience within Defence logistics, engineering or project management.
- A tertiary qualification in Project Management or a related field.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in leadership or management roles, including coaching and supporting teams through change.
- Experience working in Defence Capability Projects or within CASG.
- Experience with the ASDEFCON suite.
- Knowledge of the One Defence Capability System.
- Understanding of technical, logistical and operational requirements in delivering Defence capability, including relevant policy and legislation.
- Experience managing cross functional teams with varied technical backgrounds.
- Knowledge or experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) acquisition and sustainment arrangements.
