Our client is a multi-national private organisation who specialise in providing security and identity solutions. Joining the close-knit Canberra team as a Project Manager, you'll be responsible for the cost, on time delivery and quality of projects; whilst managing project teams composed of engineers and subcontractors. Working with a range of Federal Government Agencies, a current Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance is required due to the nature of the role.

Overview

• Deliver the project (BUILD phase) in time, within cost with the right level of quality from the specification to the ramp up phase of the project
• Manage and follow technically the project and its schedule with the different stakeholders: customer, subcontractors and company contributors
• Manage schedule, on time delivery, cost and quality KPIs for the project
• Assure the smooth transition from the BUILD phase to the RUN phase
• Participate in projects post implementation reviews, propose and set up continuous improvement plans
• Support presales activities by providing technical inputs, schedule and projects quotation
• Report regularly to relevant Managers and in particular build the monthly KPIs for the PMs project
• Report functionally to the corresponding Program Manager

About You

You are a proven Engineer with strong experience in project management in the domain of systems integration for governmental customers. You possess:

• 10-15 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor Degree in IT/Software Engineering or able to demonstrate significant practical working experience in the technical aspects of project management in an engineering environment
• Some certifications in project management methodology as PMI, PMP or PRINCE 2
• Excellent communication skills both written and spoken
• Willing to travel; domestically and internationally
