Job Summary:

The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of a complex program. This role involves strategic planning, daily management, resource coordination, and ensuring the program meets its objectives on time and within budget. The Program Manager reports to the Program Executive and plays a crucial role in ensuring effective communication, risk management, and integration across multiple projects within the program.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning and Monitoring:

    • Develop and refine the overall program plan in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Monitor program progress regularly and prepare weekly reports detailing achievements against milestones.
    • Escalate significant issues and risks to the Program Executive for timely resolution.
  2. Program Control Definition:

    • Establish program controls including processes, procedures, and reporting mechanisms to effectively manage the program.
    • Implement governance frameworks to ensure compliance with organizational standards and policies.
  3. Daily Management and Coordination:

    • Provide daily oversight and coordination throughout the program lifecycle.
    • Coordinate activities related to program deliverables, ensuring alignment with program goals and timelines.
  4. Financial Management:

    • Monitor and report on the program budget, tracking expenditures and ensuring financial resources are utilized efficiently.
    • Work closely with finance teams to forecast and manage budgetary requirements.
  5. Risk and Issue Management:

    • Identify potential risks and issues that may impact the program's success.
    • Develop risk mitigation strategies and implement corrective measures as needed to address issues promptly.
  6. Project and Resource Coordination:

    • Coordinate projects and manage interdependencies between different streams within the program.
    • Allocate and optimize resources across various projects to ensure efficient delivery and utilization.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Program Manager or similar role, managing large-scale programs within a structured environment.
  • Strong understanding of program management techniques and methods.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of building and maintaining effective relationships across diverse teams.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
