ManpowerGroup is actively engaged with a State Government department that is now searching for a dedicated Procurement Advisor to join an experienced team in the NSW Police Force. The role is suited to someone who has a technical procurement mind and expertise on policies, procedures and systems.

The role also includes updating the contracts register as well as assisting and entering contracts under the NSW government procurement policy framework under the ICT services scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising stakeholders on appropriate procurement governance and performance management mechanisms as well as provide expert technical advice on complex policies, procedures, systems and standards to business stakeholders.
• Develop and implement innovative procurement and category management strategies to meet specific business needs.
• Assess compliance standards and address any risks and mitigation strategies.
• Keep up to date with procurement policies, processes and legislation and build knowledge of supplier markets.
• Assist in developing and implementing initiatives to improve procurement outcomes.

About You:

• Sound understanding of ICT Procurement
• High attention to detail as well as being decisive
• Problem solving skills
• Excellent written and communication skills as well as a team builder
• Previous experience in a similar role
