We have a brand new permanent position for a Principle Electronics Engineer based in Adelaide.

Our client is a high tech Australian led company who encompasses the development of core technology tubes and high voltage generators, the manufacturing and test systems to produce the core technology, development of mechanical, electrical and software solutions for the product lines, and contracted development for bespoke customer imaging subsystems.

The team has a range of skills and experience from interns to Principal engineers. To support focused development, and has dedicated system engineering and technical project leads to manage programs.

The Engineering team is a matrix of functional groups, reporting to discipline team leads who in turn report to the Chief Operating Officer. Engineers and other technical specialists are assigned to projects where their daily work is planned and managed by technical project leads and the system engineer. Functional managers provide guidance, mentoring, assistance with resourcing, technical oversight and review, along with professional development.

Main responsibilities:


  • Delivery of electronic solutions products.
  • Firmware development for hardware components.
  • Coordinating and performing electrical testing of prototypes and pre-production units.
  • Ensuring compliance to relevant electrical safety standards.
  • Supporting sustaining, cost reduction, feature enhancement and customer support troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Contributing to the development process and supporting best practice tools implementation.
  • Planning and leading the delivery of assigned subsystem solutions and components working with a project team.
  • Planning and implementing test plans for functional test and reliability.
  • Relationship management and technical program guidance to external design partners and suppliers.
  • Generation of design documents for regulatory submissions.
  • Input to development program project schedules and budgets.
  • Ensuring engineering standards of quality, cost, safety, timeliness and performance are observed.
  • Liaising with customers, manufacturing and other stakeholders to drive customer centric solutions.
  • Configuration management of design outputs, change management process adherence.
  • Liaising with customers, marketing, manufacturing and other stakeholders to drive customer centric solutions.
  • Growing the culture.
