Role overview
As a key member of the Cloud & Managed Services team, the Senior Consultant is expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to exceptional service delivery, client satisfaction, and meticulous attention to detail. This role is central to ensuring clients feel supported and guided with confidence, through the provision of high-quality consulting and support services.
A core responsibility is to continuously learn and adapt to emerging technologies, acting as a technical subject matter expert across Oracle Primavera and other Project Controls solutions.
By identifying areas of improvements in day to day processes and consistently delivering high-quality support, this role builds client confidence and strengthens stakeholder relationships. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders is also essential to the success of this role.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver Managed Services Excellence - Oversee and deliver Cloud & Managed Support Services (Primavera Suite and other Project Controls applications) in line with client SLAs, ensuring consistent, high-quality outcomes.
- Effective Project Delivery - Collaborate with project managers to execute assigned tasks, proactively manage risks, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with minimal post-deployment issues.
- Provide Database and Cloud Leadership - Act as a subject matter expert across Oracle and Microsoft SQL Databases & Oracle Cloud Infrastructure supporting internal teams with ongoing management and maintenance of PPDC platform in line with our documented Cloud management framework.
- Provide Technical Leadership - Provide subject matter expertise around Primavera and related technologies, supporting clients with best-practice guidance and technical solutions, and working with Sales team to assist in Pre-sales discussions
- Maintain Operational Discipline - Manage time and utilisation effectively, contribute to client reporting, support onboarding/offboarding processes, and ensure full compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Engage Stakeholders - Build strong relationships with internal teams and clients through clear communication, responsiveness, and a commitment to service excellence.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong experience in Database & Cloud technologies, particularly Oracle/SQL databases and public clouds like Oracle Cloud, AWS or Azure.
- Proven track record in project delivery, including managing scope, timelines, and quality outcomes with minimal post-deployment issues.
- Strong understanding of managed services operations, including SLA management, client reporting, and support processes.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement, with experience identifying inefficiencies and implementing practical, measurable enhancements.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trust, communicate effectively, and manage expectations across internal and external teams.
- High proficiency in documentation and reporting, using tools such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to create clear, professional outputs.
- Proven track record in task management, with the ability to plan and prioritise work to meet utilisation targets.
- Tertiary qualifications in IT, engineering (mechanical, mining, electrical), or a related discipline preferred.
- Formal certification (Oracle Databases, Cloud certifications, ITIL, Prince2)
