The MQ Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise IBM MQ solutions to support the organisation's messaging infrastructure which processes incoming and outgoing data with external agencies.
It will be beneficial to have Azure Platform One or other cloud infrastructure experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Development: Develop and implement IBM MQ solutions to meet business requirements.
• Infrastructure uplift: Lead the uplift of existing on-premise infrastructure to Azure Platform One environments to meet Departmental security requirements and alignment of infrastructure for integrated systems.
• Integration: Integrate with various applications and systems, ensuring reliable and secure inter-agency message delivery.
• Maintenance: Monitor and maintain the MQ infrastructure, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Performance Tuning: Optimize MQ performance and ensure high availability and scalability.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for configurations, development and processes.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, business analysts, project managers, to deliver integrated solutions.
• Security: Implement and maintain security best practices for MQ environments.

Knowledge and experience
Relevant education or certification in related field.
Strong experience working with IBM MQ, Azure Platform One (APO), or other cloud technologies

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
