About the Role
The position works closely with Finance, Risk & Compliance, Strategy & Planning, and regional teams. You will provide analytical support, assist with key planning activities, and help inform senior leadership, including the CFO and CRO, as part of the organisation's broader financial planning and resilience processes.
- Carry out the annual APRA stress testing process, including developing economic scenarios and preparing insights for senior review.
- Support climate stress testing activities and contribute to climate‑related financial disclosures as required by government guidelines.
- Assist with the coordination and review of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), providing analysis and input where needed.
- Review and provide feedback on risk models across Retail and Wholesale portfolios.
- Provide analytical support for forecasting, ICCAP, sensitivity testing, and risk appetite processes.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports and presentations for Regulators, Board Committees, RMM, and senior executives including the CFO and CRO.
- Maintain governance standards for stress testing and help identify emerging risks or gaps.
- Build effective working relationships with teams across Finance, Risk & Compliance, and regional/global stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years' experience in a similar Banking & Financial Services role.
- Strong understanding of banking products, transfer pricing and balance sheet dynamics.
- Proven experience in enterprise‑wide and portfolio stress testing.
- Knowledge of credit risk modelling, regulatory frameworks, capital adequacy and liquidity management.
- Familiarity with APRA RWA methodologies (Standardised & AIRB).
- Coding skills (Python, R, SAS) desirable; TM1/HMI experience essential.
- Excellent written communication, analytical strength and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities with accuracy.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to influence senior executives.
- Experience within Financial Planning & Analysis would be considered
