Java Developer

Position: ACT

Initial contract: 12 months

Extension: 12 months x 2

Security clearance: Baseline

Our federal government client is looking for a number of skilled Java Developers to join their multidisciplinary team.

Duties:

• Create software programs that fulfill business needs to assist Corporate Systems Branch projects/programs, utilizing Java in accordance with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile development methodologies and procedures.
• Oversee effective stakeholder engagements and manage related risks.
• Establish a collaborative work plan, outlining key performance metrics and expected outcomes.
• Provide consistent progress updates on performance and resource allocation.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and skill enhancement initiatives, while also generating necessary documentation.

Required Skills:

• Experience using SOAP, XML, EJB 3 and Web Services/RESTful APIs.
• Proficient in Java/J2EE/JEE design and development

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in UX/UI practices and standards
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, etc) and back-end frameworks (Spring, Micronaut etc).

Please note due to the nature of work, only AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN with a BASELINE are considered for this position.
