About the role:

You will be working closely within the Integration Competency Centre team to develop, maintain, enhance, and support existing API's implemented in Java.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general application development activities, including unit testing, performance testing, application releases, and technical documentation.
• Create design documentation, API documentation, and developer guides.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and platform issues.
• Provide reports for critical incidents.
• Own the coordination activities across various groups including Red Hat vendor, infrastructure, and security & networking teams, among others.
• Highlight risks and resolve issues affecting release scope, schedule, and quality.
• Provide guidance and support to other development teams.

To be successful for the role, you must have:

• Openshift Application Development Certification.
• Experience implementing Java API's and applications.
• Experience with AWS API Gateway.
• Experience with AWS DocumentDb or MongoDb.
• Government experience highly regarded.

Desirable experience:

• Java 11 or higher Developer Certification.
• Experience with JMeter performance test plans.
• Experience with AWS Cognito.
• Experience with AWS Certificate Manager.
• Experience with AWS Route 53.
• Experience with Quarkus framework.
• Knowledge of Agile, Kanban, and Scrum methodologies is highly regarded.
• Government experience is highly regarded.
