Role: Deskside Engineer/ IT Support

Location: Melbourne

We're seeking a hands-on, customer-focused Deskside Engineer/IT Support Technician to join our fast-paced team. You'll be the go-to expert for hardware troubleshooting, device refreshes, and AV support-whether it's through our ticketing system or face-to-face at our TechBar.

This is a dynamic role for someone who thrives on solving problems, managing stock, and delivering exceptional service with a smile.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide real-time support via ticketing system or TechBar walk-up centre
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues on the spot
• Manage and audit stockroom inventory
• Perform device refreshes and on-site installations
• Deliver clear installation overviews and site-specific guidance to customers
• Handle customer issues with professionalism and escalate when needed
• Assist with equipment deliveries and storage
• Support AV troubleshooting and resolution
• Maintain accurate paperwork and work assignments

What You'll Bring

• 2-4 years of experience in IT support or hardware maintenance
• Advanced troubleshooting
• PC software and operating systems (Windows 10, Mac, Linux, Android)
• Networking interfaces
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to multitask under pressure
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• A customer-first mindset with a proactive, self-motivated attitude
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Teams
• A collaborative spirit with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients
