A number of significant projects are being undertaken within the organisation to migrate business critical functions from the legacy ERP solution onto other Government systems. This role will support one of the priority projects involving migration of HR and payroll data and services to an existing Government solution.

The project is seeking a highly experienced Data Analyst to work with the Technical Lead and Business Analyst to support and execute critical data analysis and migration activities.

This role will report directly to the Project Director and be accountable to follow project guidelines and values in accordance with the Department.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the Technical Lead and Business Analyst to execute the data strategy and readiness plan - identification, consolidation, cleansing, data conversion specifications, mapping ready for migration.
• Work with the Technical Lead to define detailed integration data specifications
• Work with the service provider to ensure all data migration activities are executed accurately, within time and quality constraints.
• Ensure compliance against Data Privacy legislation & company policies
• Liaise with vendors regarding progress and identify any concerns, ideas and suggestions that require attention and work to resolution
• Participate in all required testing activities
• Liaise across workstreams and projects where technical and data interdependencies exist to ensure this project's requirements are met within time and quality constraints

We are looking for someone who has:

Technical Requirements

• Proven experience in data analysis, transformation and migration between business critical applications and the ability to design, configure and execute complex ETL processes
• Ability to create complex SQL and stored procedures based on business extraction, mappings and transformation rules and logic
• Ability to create complex SSIS packages as part of the ETL processes
• Technical proficiency regarding database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation.
• Experience with Ellipse HR and Payroll would be highly regarded, in particular with respect to data extraction and transformation
• Any exposure to Aurion Payroll is highly regarded
• Experience in handling, dissemination, and storage and management of sensitive information
• Solid experience and expertise in Information Technology methodologies, tools and techniques e.g. Experience and knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, SSIS and SSRS
