Our client is a global managed IT services organisation who partner with a variety of end-clients (including 75 of the Fortune 100 companies) to provide tailored technology solutions. Continued growth sees them on the hunt for an experienced Contract Manager to join their Canberra team, for an initial 6 month contract + possible extensions.

Opportunity Overview
Supporting a key Federal Government end-client, you will provide advice and guidance on commercial/contractual obligations, responsibilities and interpretations of the engagement contract. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring continuous commercial compliance and conformance
  • Managing the commercial issues register and commercial reporting
  • Working with the account management team to address commercial issues/disputes (as well as proactively advising the team on risk mitigation strategies to reduce the likelihood of commercial issues and disputes arising)
  • Managing the contract variation process (drafting, reviewing and negotiating Contract Variations and Project Changes)
  • Participating in client meetings relating to commercial governance/commercial issue management

About You
You possess strong experience with Australian commercial law and are able to communicate and negotiate effectively with individuals of all levels. As well as...

  • Strong experience and ability in reviewing, interpreting, and authoring complex services contracts
  • Excellent financial acumen paired with the ability to balance/articulate legal risk with business goals/objectives
  • Bachelor's Degree and law qualification (highly desirable)

Please note, due to the nature of the work, minimum Baseline Vetting Security Clearance is essential.
