About the Role
As a Cloud Architect, you'll lead the design of sophisticated cloud solutions, define architectural standards, and provide expert guidance across AWS and Azure platforms. You'll work closely with technical teams, governance groups, and stakeholders to ensure cloud environments are secure, cost‑efficient, resilient, and aligned with best practice frameworks.
What You'll Do
- Develop, own, and continuously refine cloud architecture patterns and standards
- Review and enhance cloud governance frameworks
- Provide expert guidance on AWS and Azure infrastructure offerings
- Lead the design of highly available, scalable, and cost‑efficient cloud systems
- Ensure secure and reliable connectivity between on‑prem and cloud environments
- Re‑architect or refactor complex applications to cloud‑native services (PaaS)
- Present architectural designs to the Cloud Design Authority for endorsement
Highly Desirable Skills
- Experience across both public and private sector environments
- Background in ICT technical or operational roles
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture best practices and industry standards
- Proven experience designing enterprise‑grade AWS/Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions
- Understanding of compliance and security frameworks (PCI DSS, SOC 1/2, ISO 27001)
- Excellent technical writing and documentation skills
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams
