Our client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in a major payroll transformation project. This position offers the opportunity to work across HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to deliver a streamlined and compliant payroll solution.
Long term contract opportunity with a hybrid work arrangement. Melbourne based.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with subject matter experts to ensure alignment with enterprise agreements, policies, and legislative standards.
- Participate in design workshops, configuration reviews, and data migration planning.
- Convert business needs into clear functional and non-functional specifications for payroll processes.
- Map current ("as-is") workflows and design future ("to-be") process improvements.
- Provide input on payroll interfaces and integrations with HRIS, finance, and timekeeping syste
Essential
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in large-scale payroll or HRIS implementations.
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation, and enterprise agreements.
- Familiarity with leading payroll platforms (SAP SuccessFactors, Ascender, Chris21, Oracle HCM, Workday).
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with end-to-end testing and payroll system validation
- Exposure to higher education or public sector environments.
