About the Role

We're seeking a skilled APS5 Platform Engineer to join a high-performing Federal Government team supporting critical national systems. In this role, you'll work under limited supervision and contribute to moderately complex to complex ICT work within a structured and standards-driven environment.

As a key team member, you'll be responsible for planning your own workload and making independent decisions in your area of responsibility. This position also requires frequent interaction with both internal and external stakeholders to provide advice, resolve queries, and contribute to ongoing improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain Azure infrastructure solutions, including Entra ID, RBAC, networking, VMs, and storage.

  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and delivery processes.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability.

  • Create and maintain clear technical documentation including SOPs and configuration records.

  • Develop secure solutions in line with PSPF, ISM, and ASD best practices and compliance frameworks.

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as IBM Terraform.

  • Implement solutions using IBM Vault (formerly HashiCorp Vault) for secrets management.

  • Use Git repositories (GitLab, GitHub) for version control and collaborative development.

  • Deliver and support solutions across AWS and Azure cloud platforms.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Proven experience delivering cloud infrastructure solutions on both AWS and Azure platforms.

  • Strong expertise in IaC using IBM Terraform, secrets management via IBM Vault, and working with Git-based version control systems.

  • In-depth understanding of identity and access management, cloud security, and automation best practices.

  • Experience working in federally regulated ICT environments with an emphasis on compliance and documentation.

  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
