Experis Australia is seeking an experienced Application Architect to support one of our valued Federal Government clients. In this role, you will provide strategic technical guidance, contribute to application governance, and work across both project and business-as-usual (BAU) environments. You'll play a key role in shaping future-state technology, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the review and development of application strategies, architectures, roadmaps, and policies.

  • Assess current application deployments (on-premises and cloud) and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Engage directly with technical teams and business units to scope, plan, and deliver new application services.

  • Provide architectural advice to support technology alignment with strategic goals.

  • Prepare high-quality documentation, addressing risks, gaps, and opportunities.

  • Participate in ongoing technical governance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience as an Application or Solutions Architect in on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting federal government in building and operating enterprise applications.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft platforms including Office 365, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, and Azure DevOps.

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure architecture and services.

  • Ability to design and document solutions that balance requirements, operational constraints, and strategic goals.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across business and technical teams.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps pipelines, repositories, and Agile delivery.

  • A flexible, learning-focused mindset with exposure to emerging technologies.

  • NV1 Security Clearance or willingness to undergo vetting.
